
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries partners with Infosys-led JV in Japan, HIPUS

Infosys, a worldwide leader in advanced digital services and consulting, announced today that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has invested in the Infosys-led Joint Venture HIPUS, strengthening Infosys' position in Japan. MHI is among the top global industrial groups, covering sectors such as energy, smart infrastructure, industrial equipment, aerospace and defense, and has founded companies like Hitachi Ltd., Panasonic Corporation, and Pasona.
HIPUS, where Infosys holds a majority share, was established in 2019 to enhance high-quality, comprehensive procurement processes and sourcing and category knowledge, utilizing advanced digital platforms for Japanese companies.
MHI has been a long-time client of HIPUS and has now broadened the partnership by securing a 2 percent share from Infosys. With this investment, MHI seeks to further investigate new business prospects in the area
